This is son Matt, born in 1984.
Following a music degree at Royal Hollway College, University of London, he worked for a year as resident musician at Heathfield St Mary's School at Ascot. Then went on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Middlesex University. He's recently done a certain amount of supply teaching in the local area but is still looking for a permanent post as a music teacher.
He plays the piano, soprano and tenor saxophone and occasionally clarinet. At Heathfield he did some individual tuition in woodwind for girls at the school. The picture, right, is of Matt playing at Sam & Sheila's church. His brother, Tim, has been using his services as rehearsal pianist for musical productions at the Queen Mother Theatre. He was joint Musical Director with Tim for the 2009 production of Gigi. He has has also acted as rehearsal pianist for Hitchin Thespians for their productions. In 2011 he auditioned and gained the part of Antonio in their production of The Gondoliers at the Gordon Craig Theatre in March. In the Autumn he acted as rehearsal pianist for Berhamsted Theatre Co's production of The Producers and enjoyed it so much he joined the chorus - see picture bottom right.
Amongst Matt's hobbies are watching too much television and playing computer games. He enjoys the occasional game of golf with friends. During his time at Royal Holloway he was president of the Savoy Opera Society at College and took part in a number of productions of Gilbert & Sullivan operettas .
